Hello everyone on the next great singer and to all those who have added me as a friend, if you come across my blogs or my page and haven't got me on your freind list drop a hello and add me as a friend...I promise you I am nice! A little crazy so I am told but nice....:)
Well I hope everyone is happy and healthy and lots of singing is being done haha!! I have been of college for Easter holidays and enjoying the break and good weather....I have been walking my Dog who my mum loves by the way (I told her the truth in the end that I got a dog) and cycling and doing coursework and of course singing! I have entered for the first time in the 17-25 section citybeats young star search compeition which is getting increasingly huge in its fourth year here and I have heard some great talent on it. The opportunity has came and I am going to go along and have some fun, get some experience and see what happens...I am nervous as I haven'nt been on a stage in a while but I think I need to prove to myself I can still do it:)
I think I sing acapella at the audions and then go through a series of heats...My song choices are over the rainbow, hallelujah and midnight train to Georgia which I have great fun with and I try not to copy and make these songs have my own spin on them. I would love your support, I am not sure If I will even get through as yet and if I do how voting happens I know phone is one way but those further afield hopefully you can email or something and it should be online as it is on Citybeats radio here in Belfast.
Apart from preparing for that I have been doing more filming at the childrens hospice and was presenting on the radio for a week and also got interviewed and had me singing fever and over the rainbow played also. It was a lot of fun and stressful as I had 40 minutes training that Friday and on monday had a show to broadcast and had to write each days shows and have song lists prepared and gather requests, phonecalls and emails and present and try to make sure everything is going smoothly. I was really thankful for the opportunity and had fun!
That is what I have been up to amongst hanging out with friends and going to my friend Jens gran and grandas caravan again at Easter were a strom literally was happening and the 3 of us- Jenna, Philip and myself lay wrapped up in the double bed terrified as their was loud noises and it was dark and the wind was beating of the caravan and things were blowing about outside and it was us 3 alone!! Of course when daylight came noone admitted about being scared and we did have a couple of good days weather wise were we were in the sea up to our chests!! haha we were game because Northern Ireland sea Is not warm let me tell you:) so I had a wonderful time even in the bad weather we made buns and wrapped up and sat by the gas fire and watched TV and listened to music and laughed at each other! Infact I didnt want to come home and in the summer we are going back to jump of the peir into the sea! However I did miss my litrle doggy who is doing extremley well and definately lives up to his name of Shadow by following me everywhere! he cuddles into me like a little baby:) its so very cute!! But anyway to be extremely honest I have rattled on here enough and my dinner is ready and to save another scream of my name followed by you moaned you were hungrary and are now not answering me....I shall now go!!take care, all my love.
