Hey! Oh my goodness, I feel like a stranger, I normally update blog's and was suppose to get more videos up...what have I been up to?
Well I have been run of my feet, literally! I have been doing so much work for college from anyalysing documentary's to writing proposals, carrying out interviews and following news stories, its been lots of fun and a great learning curve so I cannot complain at all but I am tired! haha
All day today I took part in a Cinemagic Workshop, I had a breif to follow and had to propose my ideas for documentarys to a gentleman in the industry from London! I was nominated to speak for my 'production team' and was a bit nervous but couldn't stop once I started to talk. I have made lots of wonderful freinds at college and would encourage those at any age who perhaps wish to learn something new, change career or turn their life around, go for it!
A couple of my freinds have lots of similarities; love to sing, act and perform etc. Yesterday I got my first taste of news reporting in a studio. It was of course a layed back informal situation but was fun. (may have shouted a little into the Mic!) oopsie! It is Christmas soon and I am so excited. The glistening lights, reflecting on the past year and being with people you love. My family are coming from England, and I cannot wait, I miss the twins badly and cannot wait to see my brother and his fiancee Lizzy again! We then go back on the 29th to London with them for New years and are having a fancy dress party:) so I am quite excited. Back to the hard work though (I love it really haha) I am interviewing Pop star Nadine Coyle from British pop band Girls Aloud on Friday! I will write more about that in my next blog, but I start a documentary for my assignment on Friday and have been lucky to get the chance to talk to Nadine about the Childrens hospice in Northern Ireland which is a subject close to my heart also which is why I decided to got and visit it and do a documentry on it. My mums birthday was recently and we are going to dinner and to a see a pantomine after my interview and recording on Friday, Its my gift to her so we're both pretty excited, I thought it would be nice to do something together instead of buy gifts that are going to sit gathering dust until next year! On top of all this I have bee working in the supermarket also and I had the flu! So I just need to push myself that little bit further and get back into singing and Gig's possibly too. Once I can manage my time effectivley and balance everything I shall. Singings the one thing Im most passionate about, but their are so many talented people out their and I have so much development and learning still to do and a lot has happened in my life that has affected me in various way's and I will keep pushing on but I am doing broadcast journalism so I can still work in the Media industry and write and have a voice. Open the window to people and show them what I see so that they may see it too. We all see things differently, each one of us. I have learnt today that if your not competivie and your not up to the mark your not going to get anywhere (we got told today) haha but thats what Im up to currently! and wandering round the christmas market freezing and soaking listening to christmas music :) but until next time, cherrio!
