Merry Christmas Everyone!! I hope all who are currently reading my blogs enjoy them and don't find me too boring!haha
Well their is christmas over for another year and to say the least this christmas was- well, erm- busy! From the 18th of December until now it hasn't stopped, The first lot arrived from Mayo is Southern Ireland on 18th, the same night as my brothers 40th birthday party, which was great fun, dancing for about 5 hours! they stayed until Sunday and the other side arrived on Monday morning from England. Luckily they made it with no flight delays due to the snow fall which was crazy! and also because one of the twins, Alicia spent the day before in two hospitails in England with a temperture and being un responsive, so was a very worrying time! I ran at the airport to give hugs and to shockingly see my little baby neice Alicia running about smiling to herself and strangers! I am very thankful for the presents I got this year and to spend time with the people I love the most. Unfortunatley their was a few dramas, (the usual rows with your brother for calling you over dramatic!) and the fact the butcher didn't stuff our turkey! its my favourite part!! haha so I was pretty shocked, searching a turkey with no stuffing!( It was like lucky dip with no prize!) Or in church on christmas morning and my neice scraping herself badly with a hymn book and my mum falling on black ice and injuring herself! We had a new recipe added to the menu this year with chestnut stuffing which my brothers fiance makes and its tradition so she made it for us and I helped scrape lots of chestnuts! I got a marilyn Monroe box set which I love as I had really wanted it but must be getting older as this year I just wanted to see the twins open their presents and give everyone else theirs haha.
The games this year included Twister and Jenga! I won twister more then once haha but got pictures taken with bottom stuck in the air! (how un lady like!) and I wasn't so bad at Jenga either, unlike my sister who knocks it over first go!
My two best freinds came up on boxing day for some food and gathered round the table and it felt good that I had backup for the stick I had been taking from the brothers and sister! It didnt work though because we all got it in the end! You cannot breathe without getting criticised in this house! haha. All in all after a few silly arguments that were blown out of control and the twins not being well and me not being well and everything it wasn't a bad christmas! I am glad to have people around me and be able to say merry christmas and attend the carol service and sing and go to chruch and also think of other people. A terrible car crash in wich 3 people were killed in happened just before christmas and seeing it on the news reminded me of my brothers in 2001 and it made me feel so blessed to have him here and I think at christmas we should remember the people who don't have anyone or are going through traumatic circumstances, it is terrible at any time of the year but at christmas when their is so much cheer and excitement in the air it would be particulary harder. My plans for this week is to do some singing, head to a Belfast Giants game tonight!!! at the oddyessey!!! I was suppose to be going to England on Tuesday but I haven't been feeling great and the medicane I am on makes me sleepy so I have decided not to go, My mum and dad are going to southern Ireland so I am all alone! I am going to wrap up, watch Dvd's and relax and write some songs and chill out! I am unsociable sometimes and love my own company! Well I will be adding a blog about my day meeting Nadine Coyle, popstar from British band Girls aloud at the childrens hospice and how lovley she was and the children and their familie's especially under such sad circumstances. For now though, goodbye and a happy New Year, enjoy yourself whatever you may do! Cat Ross
