Deep Purple Legend Jon Lord Dead at 71

Jon Lord, keyboardist and co-founder of British rock group Deep Purple, has died in a London hospital aged 71, his official website said on Monday.

Young Musicians Rock Out

Since 2006, Chris Blanton has been running a camp known as Summer Jam Band for kids age 9 and up.  The camp teaches kids how to not only play and be compatible with a band but also how to manage one. Chris teaches the kids things such as organizing gigs and soundcheck. The kids also get some time to write an original piece of music.
