I really shouldn't have entered that last contest... I'm a professional songwriter/musician/singer having been an artist with Mercury, Warner Bros., and Curb records. Of course, my videos aren't just cam and music tracks either. I needed a break and just happened to stumble across this website...It looks like it's pretty well run and they have a lot of things going on.

It's also a great place for karaoke singers to have their music heard and appreciated... Congratulation to all who entered and to Charley the winner. As with most of these kinds of contests, they end up being popularity contests more than anything else. But that's fine. This isn't Nashville...it's karaoke. The 'real' music business is just that, a business. Nothing like karaoke at all. I doubt that many of you would find it all that much fun...

I have to get back to work. it's been great fun to take a break from from all the stress and pressure of Nashville. I'm leaving my three videos on here. These are karaoke songs, but I record my original music in much the same way. If you ever decide to try music as a profession, songwriting or singing, this is a great way to present your music to a label, producer, or publisher. NEVER use a karaoke track though. You'll need original music, studio musicians, and a great (video if you can) demo. It's a lot of work, but it will set you above the 'crowd' right from the start. The rest is up to how talented you are.

Good luck everyone... there are some fine singers on here... it was fun being part of the contest...
