To join in this year's Holiday Contest you will need to be a member of TNGS. To become a member, sign up via www.thenextgreatsinger.com. Sign up is made easy by using either your facebook, google, or yahoo accounts.

You are now half way there. Follow these simple steps to enter the contest...

1. Choose your favorite holiday song, any style, version, or come up with your own arrangement.
2. Record yourself singing your selected song using your microphone and camera. Do not use any recording application from an external karaoke website to record your entry.
3. Upload your video recording to The Next Great Singer. Uploaded videos should be 100MB or less in .mov, .mp4, .mpg, .avi, .wmv, .3gp, and .3g2 file formats. Embedded videos from external sites will not be accepted for the contest.
4. Before your performance, you should offer a brief introduction with your name, song of choice and state that the video is for "The Next Great Singer's Holiday Song Video Contest 2010".
5. After you upload your video entry, make sure you label your entry as "Your Name: Holiday Song Video Contest 2010". (example... JenStarMaker: Holiday Song Video Contest 2010)

Judging

You may submit videos until midnight, Pacific Time, on December 25th

Winners will be announced January 7, 2011

A judging panel from The Next Great Singer, helped by votes from members on the site will decide on three winners per category.

Categories and Criteria

Best Singing Performance - song choice, singing ability, quality of sound/video, etc.

Most Creative Performance - song choice, creativity (costume, instrument play, decor, etc..), singing ability, quality of sound/video, etc.

3 winners for each category, totaling 6 prizes.

First Place: $50 / t-shirt / Top Featured Profile
Second Prize: $25 / t-shirt
Third Prize: t-shirt

This is a great opportunity for everyone to get into the holiday spirit and create a truly unique video to share on The Next Great Singer. Good Luck and have fun!
